SUMMARY:SCU Community Rides
DESCRIPTION:Join us this week for a tour of the South End! We'll meet at La
  Fromagerie downtown and cover some roads and paths throughout the South E
 nd that we haven't yet been on as a group.\n\nWhere: Begin at La Fromageri
 e downtown and will take us on a tour of several South End areas.\n\nWhen:
  Thursday\, May 31st\, 2018. Meet at 6:15pm - rides begins at 6:30pm!\n\nR
 ide Duration: 1.5-2hrs\n\nRide Length: ~16 km\n\nRide Difficulty: Easy\n\n
 Surface: Mix of paved roads\, multi use paths (gravel/crushed gravel) and 
 a section of fire road.\n\nRide Comfort: Easy pace and surface\, some hill
 s.\n\nNOTE: In the event of inclement weather\, we will post a cancellatio
 n here 1 hour prior to the ride start.\n\nMore general details about our r
 ides are below.\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJoin us for some fun rides in 2018! The 
 SCU’s 2018 Thursday evening Community Rides run from May 3 until the 
 end of September. Rides will be offered in a variety of locations across G
 reater Sudbury and will be approximately 20 to 26 km in length and will la
 st approximately 1.5 hours. We’ll be travelling on roads and hard packed
  trails\, so rides will be suitable for all styles of bicycles\, and for m
 ost riders except for those who are just learning to ride.\n\nDetails\, in
 cluding the route for the ride\, will go up on our website and on our Face
 book page a few days before the scheduled ride. Any cancellations due to w
 eather or other unforeseen circumstances will also be announced the day of
  the ride on our website\, Facebook page\, and Twitter. We only cancel if 
 there is the risk of thunder or poor conditions on the roads or trails.\n\
 nChildren are welcome on our rides\, but parents are responsible for deter
 mining if their child can complete the ride.\n\nWe will always ensure that
  the group stays together – no rider will be left behind! Every ride wil
 l include a pre-ride safety talk and some tips on how to navigate the rout
 e. Riders will need to sign an attendance/waiver form\, and all riders und
 er 18 must wear a helmet.\n\nBefore each ride\, please ensure that your bi
 ke is road-worthy. We’ll have a bicycle pump available prior to each rid
 e\, but we won’t be doing bike repairs or adjustments. The SCU encourage
 s all riders to wear helmets. And don’t forget to bring some water and s
 nacks!
