SUMMARY:SCU Community Rides
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThis week's ride is in Azilda/Chelmsford.Gather in the Dog 
 House at 6:15 for registration and our safety talk.\n\nIt is a nice flat 2
 0 km with a mix of street and trails.  Hybrids or mountain bikes are reco
 mmended for this ride.\n\n\n\n\nDetails about all of our rides\nJoin us fo
 r some fun rides in 2018! The SCU’s 2018 Thursday evening Community Rid
 es run from May 3 until the end of September. Rides will be offered in a
  variety of locations across Greater Sudbury and will be approximately 20 
 to 26 km in length and will last approximately 1.5 hours. We’ll be trave
 lling on roads and hard packed trails\, so rides will be suitable for all 
 styles of bicycles\, and for most riders except for those who are just lea
 rning to ride.\n\nDetails\, including the route for the ride\, will go up 
 on our website and on our Facebook page a few days before the scheduled ri
 de. Any cancellations due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances wil
 l also be announced the day of the ride on our website\, Facebook page\, a
 nd Twitter. We only cancel if there is the risk of thunder or poor conditi
 ons on the roads or trails.\n\nChildren are welcome on our rides\, but par
 ents are responsible for determining if their child can complete the ride.
 \n\nWe will always ensure that the group stays together – no rider will 
 be left behind! Every ride will include a pre-ride safety talk and some ti
 ps on how to navigate the route. Riders will need to sign an attendance/wa
 iver form\, and all riders under 18 must wear a helmet.\n\nBefore each rid
 e\, please ensure that your bike is road-worthy. We’ll have a bicycle pu
 mp available prior to each ride\, but we won’t be doing bike repairs or 
 adjustments. The SCU encourages all riders to wear helmets. And don’t fo
 rget to bring some water and snacks!
