DESCRIPTION:\nDo you want a challenge this week? We're doing the Ramsey Lak
 e Loop\, which has some hills\, including the hill locally known as "Cardi
 ac Hill". This ride is a mixture of trails and road riding. Come out and m
 eet other cyclists and learn some road cycling skills!\n\n\n\nDetails abou
 t all of our rides\nJoin us for some fun rides in 2018! The SCU’s 2018 
 Thursday evening Community Rides run from May 3 until the end of Septemb
 er. Rides will be offered in a variety of locations across Greater Sudbury
  and will be approximately 20 to 26 km in length and will last approximate
 ly 1.5 hours. We’ll be travelling on roads and hard packed trails\, so r
 ides will be suitable for all styles of bicycles\, and for most riders exc
 ept for those who are just learning to ride.\n\nDetails\, including the ro
 ute for the ride\, will go up on our website and on our Facebook page a fe
 w days before the scheduled ride. Any cancellations due to weather or othe
 r unforeseen circumstances will also be announced the day of the ride on o
 ur website\, Facebook page\, and Twitter. We only cancel if there is the r
 isk of thunder or poor conditions on the roads or trails.\n\nChildren are 
 welcome on our rides\, but parents are responsible for determining if thei
 r child can complete the ride.\n\nWe will always ensure that the group sta
 ys together – no rider will be left behind! Every ride will include a pr
 e-ride safety talk and some tips on how to navigate the route. Riders will
  need to sign an attendance/waiver form\, and all riders under 18 must wea
 r a helmet.\n\nBefore each ride\, please ensure that your bike is road-wor
 thy. We’ll have a bicycle pump available prior to each ride\, but we won
 ’t be doing bike repairs or adjustments. The SCU encourages all riders t
 o wear helmets. And don’t forget to bring some water and snacks!
