OUR CAMPAIGNS

We have conducted a number of advocacy campaigns to support constructive changes to municipal and provincial policies and projects.

Join us to help move forward policies, strategies, and projects that will provide a safe, connected, convenient, and accessible network of cycling infrastructure for people of all ages and abilities! We can provide guidance on how to contact the City of Greater Sudbury Council, your local Member of Provincial Parliament, your Member of Parliament (federal), and key City Staff.

Some of our campaigns:

  • Election candidates surveys to poll for support of sustainable, active transportation policies, strategies and projects during municipal and provincial elections
  • Input to critical City of Greater Sudbury municipal policies and planning documents, including:
    • The Transportation Plan/Master Transportation Plan
    • The Official Plan
    • The Downtown Master Plan
    • Yearly budget submissions and presentations to Council to advocate for key policies and directions including Complete Streets, Transportation Demand Management, yearly capital funding for safe cycling infrastructure, an Active Transportation Coordinator, and the construction of a minimum grid of safe cycling infrastructure
    • Bylaws directing the use of municipal parks
    • Input to the Bell Park Advisory Panel
  • Input to provincial policies and planning documents, including:
    • Bill 31: The Making Ontario's Roads Safer Act
    • The #CycleON Strategy
