You’re invited to the SCU AGM on March 27!
Spring is around the corner and people will soon be on their bicycles. Start the summer cycling season by coming to the SCU Annual General Meeting at 7 pm on March 27 at St. Andrew’s Place, 111 Larch St., Sudbury.
The SCU has invited a number of special guests from other cycling clubs, bike shops, and the Rainbow Routes Association, who’ll make short presentations on their planned activities for 2018. The City’s Active Transportation Coordinator, Marisa Talarico, will also be there to chat with cyclists.
Also on the agenda is the presentation of the SCU 2017 Annual Report and plans for 2018, followed by elections for the Executive positions that will be vacant in 2018. The SCU is looking for a Secretary, a Vice-Chair, and Coordinators and team members for memberships, events, and communications.
This is an opportunity to come and find out what the cycling community is planning for 2018. We’re really excited to host a forum where people who bike can meet other cyclists, make connections, and find out how they can be involved in making Greater Sudbury a better cycling community.
Annual memberships will also be available. Individual memberships are $10, family memberships are $15, or you can pay as you can or according to your level of support for the SCU. Everyone purchasing a 2018 membership on or before March 27 will be entered into a draw for a car bike rack. You can also join at sudburycyclistsunion.ca/join.
The evening will round up with a meet and greet mingle, refreshments and door prizes.
