Bike Maintenance Workshop May 15
Come out to our Bike Maintenance Workshop 101! Learn how to do simple repairs and maintenance on your bike!
Date/time: May 15, 2016, starting 11 am
Location: O’Connor Park, 140 St. George Street, Sudbury
Experienced SCU cyclists will be on hand to guide you on doing repairs to your bike so you can keep it tuned up and functioning smoothly. Basic skills learned include how to set up your bike comfortably, cleaning and lubrication, basic safety check, fixing punctures, break tuning, and gear adjustments. We’ll also discuss bike locks, how to properly lock a bike, and the effectiveness of various lock styles.
We supply necessary tools, a repair station and a cleaning station.
Note that we do not supply parts – anyone who wishes to learn a complex task must bring the required parts; you can contact us in advance at info@sudburycyclistsunion.ca to see if we can help you with your required repairs.
This is also an opportunity to socialize with members of the Sudbury Cyclists Union, meet like-minded people who bike, and make new friends! There is a potluck starting in late afternoon.
