Canada Cup/Ontario Cup 2013 MTB Racing Event – Walden Mountain Bike Trails
A Canada Cup/Ontario Cup mountain bike cross country event is again being held in Walden, on July 12, 13, and 14th, 2013. This is the perfect opportunity to see world-class racers, or even participate in the event!
The organizing committee is looking for volunteers to help out.
A message from Amy Hill, with the Walden Mountain Bike Club:
We need some help with the pre-ride on Saturday July 13th (9am-5pm) and for floaters on race day as we have a variety of jobs for people to do on race day (Sunday, July 14th). Race day volunteers should be there around 8am-6pm. Half days are great too, so we can mix up positions for people.
It’s also a cool chance to meet local riders and racers, as well as meet the Canadian Olympic Mountain Biking team.
There is also a social being held at Peddler’s Pub downtown on Saturday from 7-9 pm, where people can meet and greet with the riders too.
IN addition – we do need help AFTER the event as well – in order to help restore the trails from any damage or ruts that are created by the event so that they are smooth and good to go for continued riding in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Email Amy at amystew08@hotmail.com, if you would like to volunteer for any part, or all of this event. Volunteers all get race T-Shirt, lunch and snacks, and they will try to make your day as fun and rewarding as for the racers.
