The Greater City of Sudbury is currently reviewing its Official Plan. What is this plan? From the city’s website:

“When you close your eyes and picture Greater Sudbury in 2031, what do you see? Think about our roads, paths and trails; our lakes and rivers; our neighbourhoods, parks and schools. How have they changed? The Official Plan review is your chance to share your vision for Greater Sudbury with our community’s decision-makers. We want to know what you see for the future of this city, and how you would recommend we get there.”

The first public meeting to get input from residents is scheduled for Monday, January 23, 2012, 7:00 pm in Council Chambers. The SCU is soliciting input from its members in order to present its recommendations to City Council during the meeting. We also would like to see many of our members attend the city’s meeting in support of cycling infrastructure changes.
