It’s almost the end of January, and the SCU is getting busy in a number of areas:

• Last night, the SCU presented its input to City Council for the 2012 review of the Official Plan. Click here for more information!
• On January 11, a number of SCU members attended the input session for the Transportation Plan review. We provided input and feedback to the consultants and City staff. There were lots of really good positive discussions – the City seems keen to discuss how to improve our cycling infrastructure.
• Our new web site is up and we are busy adding content. If there’s anything that you would like to see on our site, let us know by sending us your suggestions by clicking on Contact Us above.
• The next general membership meeting will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Laughing Buddha. We will be discussing events and activities to be planned and organized for 2012. The SCU plans on continuing a number of existing campaigns, as well as starting new ones. And we are planning on making our presence felt at events like Earth Month and Northern Lights Festival Boreal. Come join us to find out more and offer your suggestions.
