Ontario finally has a bicycling strategy! The Share the Road Cycling Coalition issued a press release today as well as the speaking notes for Eleanor McMahon’s speech at the official launch.

Of importance is the fact that we have an opportunity to provide comments and feedback to the draft strategy. Noted in the press release: “We now encourage those same stakeholders – cyclists and advocates, municipal leaders and staff, public health, law enforcement, bicycle industry retailers, members of the business community to participate in this important consultation process.”

This is something that we should discuss and evaluate before the end of January 2013, so you’ll be hearing more in the near future, once we have a chance to review all of the information.
