Input to Bell Park Advisory Panel
Gabe Keresztesi, an SCU member, is also on the Bell Park Advisory Panel. At our general membership meeting on Jan. 29th, he asked us for input to some questions that have arisen at the panel, as well as for our priorities for changes/development at Bell Park. Below are the comments that were provided. Does anyone have any other comments they wish to provide?
• Rules for amphitheatre seating (allowing chairs on the grass area): no input suggested
• Event boundaries (recommendations for set boundaries for different sizes of events): no recommendation on boundaries other than to ensure that bike paths are not made unavailable to cyclists and that appropriate bike racks are available
• SCU priorities: eliminate or reroute the steep hill on the bike path behind the amphitheatre (accidents have already occurred); at the very least, install signage to notify users of the steep hill. Provide healthier food alternatives at the concession stand. Provide bike stands at all 4 beaches and other strategic areas – in highly visible areas with signage indicating where they are located.
